Techie Goddess

I am currently working on plays number 13 and 14. Yes, two plays at a time. I have rehearsals right after school until four, after which I go home for a quick dinner, then to another rehearsal at five thirty. If any of you have had trouble contacting me, I'm so sorry. Thank goodness, Willy Wonka opens on the 20th...next Friday. I also don't have as much to do for Wonka. I run the lights. Oh how I wish we had a light board at Peteetneet! Our lights are just breakers...switches. It stinks! And, whoever wired the breakers didn't put the lights in order so the switches go something like blue\white (yes on the same switch) 3 6 7 8 1 2 red\green 9 4 5 backlight. It makes me want to cry. Alice in Wonderland is going to take a lot more effort than flipping random switches that are out of order. I'm the stage manager\construction director\playbill writer. First, I have to finish the set before a set deadline without knowing when that set deadline is. This set includes two ramps, another platform besides the five we already have, a giant clock, a huge book, several mushrooms, a tea party, thrones, waves with pop-up oysters, and more that I don't even want to worry about yet. Our tech 1s haven't taken their safty test yet, so they can't help build. Next week, hopefully, I'll be able to put Cynthia and Mike in charge of their own crew. If they can handle being in charge, that would make the work go a lot faster. We'll see what happens. I'm still not sure why I have to go to rehearsals already. I don't really do much. I take roll and keep track of who isn't coming to practices regularly. Then, sit around and watch the play. Anyway, if anyone is bored enough to read all of this, I'll be surprised.
